Vietnam Visa FAQ: Quick Answers About the E-Visa
Vietnam visa FAQ: who needs a visa, e-visa prices from $47 all-in, processing times, urgent and weekend options, corrections, refunds and visa on arrival.
Do I need a visa for Vietnam?
Yes, unless your nationality is on Vietnam's visa exemption list and your stay fits its day limit. Our page on visa-free entry rules lists each country and limit, as of October 2026.
Who can apply for a Vietnam e-visa?
Citizens of all countries and territories can apply. Since August 15, 2023, under Resolution 127/NQ-CP, the e-visa allows stays of up to 90 days with single or multiple entry.
What documents do I need?
You need a passport, a scan of its photo page and a recent portrait photo. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date, with two blank pages. Photo rules are on our e-visa documents page.
How much is a Vietnam visa?
The government fee is $25 for single entry and $50 for multiple entry. Through us, the all-in price starts at $47 single and $82 multiple, government fee included. The full price table lists every speed.
Does a 3-month e-visa cost more than a 1-month one?
No. With us, a 3-month e-visa costs the same as a 1-month one at every speed.
Are there hidden fees?
No. Our e-visa price includes the government fee, and there is no card surcharge. A visa on arrival is different: you pay a stamping fee at the airport.
How long does a Vietnam e-visa take?
Through us, Standard takes 5 to 7 working days, and faster options run from 3 working days down to 1.5 working hours. The delivery time for your order is shown before you pay.
How do I check my application status?
Orders placed with us can be tracked on our status page with your order number. Applications you filed yourself are tracked on evisa.gov.vn.
Can I get a Vietnam e-visa today?
Yes, on a working day. Same day costs $118, Super Urgent (2.5 working hours) $169 and Emergency (1.5 working hours) $260, single entry. The exact delivery time is shown before you pay. See every option on our urgent Vietnam e-visa page.
I applied on evisa.gov.vn and it is still pending. What can I do?
You do not need to apply again. Our service can expedite a pending e-visa you filed yourself, from $50 per person for one or two travelers, because you have already paid the government fee.
Can I get an e-visa at the weekend?
Yes. The Weekend & Public Holidays option costs $250 single entry. It covers orders from Friday 18:00 to Sunday 16:00 (GMT+7) and public holidays.
There is a mistake on my e-visa. Can it be fixed?
Yes. A wrong name, birth date, passport number or entry date can be corrected with our Update E-Visa service, $65, or $85 on weekends and public holidays. Our page on how to correct wrong information explains the steps.
How do I pay?
You pay by card online through OnePay. The price at checkout is the full price, with the government fee included and no card surcharge.
When do I get a Vietnam e-visa refund?
We refund 100% if your e-visa is refused, unless the application had false information, or if it arrives after the delivery time shown at checkout. Our refund policy page has the full terms.
Can I get a visa on arrival?
Only if you fly in to Hanoi (HAN), Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), Da Nang (DAD) or Cam Ranh (CXR). You need an approval letter first, then pay a stamping fee of $25 or $50 at the airport.
Should I choose an e-visa or a visa on arrival?
Most travelers should choose the e-visa: it works at 79 border gates (15 airports, 26 land border gates and 38 seaports) and needs no stop at the airport visa desk. A visa on arrival suits travelers who already hold an approval letter.
