Vietnam 90 Day Visa Multiple Entry

Vietnam 90 day visa multiple entry explained: who needs it, single vs multiple prices from $47 and $82 all-in, how the dates work, and the 90-day limit.

How to apply Vietnam evisa

Yes, the Vietnam 90 day visa multiple entry option exists: since August 15, 2023, Vietnam issues e-visas valid for up to 90 days, single or multiple entry, to citizens of every country. Through us, a multiple-entry e-visa starts at $82 all-in and a single-entry one at $47, and a 90-day e-visa costs the same as a 30-day one. Below: single vs multiple entry, who needs which, prices at every speed, how the dates work and what to do when the 90-day limit is too short. You can apply for your e-visa with us once you know which type fits.

The Vietnam 90 day visa comes from Law 23/2023/QH15, which set the e-visa's maximum validity at 90 days and allowed single or multiple entry (law text on vbpl.vn, checked October 2026). The government fee is $25 for single entry and $50 for multiple entry; our prices include it.

The 90-day e-visa at a glance:

Single entry Multiple entry
Longest validity 90 days 90 days
Entries One Unlimited within the dates
Government fee (included) $25 $50
Our all-in price, Standard $47 $82

The choice between the two columns depends on one thing: whether you leave Vietnam and come back during the trip.

Single vs multiple entry Vietnam visa

A single-entry e-visa ends the moment you leave Vietnam, even if days remain. A Vietnam multiple entry visa lets you leave and return as many times as you like until its last valid day. Both allow the same total stay of up to 90 days.

The law states it plainly: a visa is valid for one entry or for multiple entries, and the EV (e-visa) category runs no longer than 90 days. Nothing else differs. Both types are accepted at the same 79 border gates, both arrive as a PDF and both are applied for on the same form, where you pick the entry type.

Who needs the Vietnam 90 day visa multiple entry option

You need a multiple entry visa for Vietnam when your trip crosses the border and comes back. The table matches common routes to the entry type they need.

Your trip Entry type
Fly in, travel, fly home Single
Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, then out to Bangkok Single
Vietnam, side trip to Angkor Wat, back to Vietnam Multiple
Saigon to Phnom Penh by bus and back Multiple
Business trips from Singapore twice in two months Multiple
Vietnam, Laos, then fly home from Laos Single

A rule of thumb: count the times you will arrive in Vietnam. One arrival means single entry; two or more means multiple. If your passport gets visa-free entry, check the visa-free entry list first, since a short return trip may not need an e-visa at all.

Vietnam multiple entry visa fee

The Vietnam multiple entry visa fee through us is $82 all-in at Standard speed, against $47 for single entry, and the gap stays similar at every speed. The table lists both prices per person, government fee included, from the slowest to the fastest speed. Prices last updated: 2026-10-07.

Speed Single entry (USD) Multiple entry (USD)
Standard, 5 to 7 working days $47 $82
3 working days $69 $98
2 working days $92 $116
1 working day $99 $123
Same day $118 $150
Super Urgent $169 $212
Emergency $260 $285
Weekend and public holidays $250 $280

Every price covers up to 90 days: a 3-month e-visa costs the same as a 1-month one. The exact delivery time for each speed is shown before you pay, and our full price table explains what the fee covers. If the e-visa is refused, unless the application had false information, or arrives after the delivery time shown at checkout, we refund 100%.

How the 90 days are counted

The 90 days run between the "valid from" and "valid to" dates printed on your e-visa, which you choose on the form. You can enter on or after the first date and must leave by the last. A 3-month visa for Vietnam is therefore a window you set, not a count that starts when you land.

Because a 90-day window costs the same as a 30-day one, set it wide:

  • Start: a day or two before your planned arrival, in case your flight moves earlier or you cross a border sooner.
  • End: a few days after your planned departure, in case of a delay.
  • Limit: no more than 90 days in total between the two dates.

On a multiple-entry e-visa, days outside Vietnam still count, because the window is fixed. A side trip to Cambodia in week four does not add days at the end.

Extending or applying again

If 90 days is not enough, leave before the last valid day and apply for a new e-visa for your next entry, or read whether you can extend your visa instead. Plan either option before your last valid day.

Two questions often come next: whether Vietnam has a one-year visa, and whether a multiple-entry e-visa works at land borders.

Is there a Vietnam 1 year visa?

Not as an e-visa. The e-visa runs for at most 90 days under Law 23/2023/QH15. Longer visas exist in other categories, such as a business visa sponsored by a Vietnamese company, which is applied for differently and is not something you can order online on evisa.gov.vn as a tourist.

Can I enter by land with a multiple-entry e-visa?

Yes. The e-visa is accepted at 79 border gates: 15 international airports, 26 land border gates and 38 seaports (as of October 2026), including Moc Bai from Cambodia, Lao Bao from Laos and Huu Nghi from China. Each crossing back into Vietnam uses one of those gates; see the full list of entry ports.

eVisaVietnam.com is a private visa service operated by TK VIET NAM., JSC, not the Vietnamese government. You can apply yourself at evisa.gov.vn for US$25, or US$50 for multiple entry. If you want your documents checked and a 90-day window at no extra cost, apply for your e-visa with us.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a multiple entry visa for Vietnam?

Apply for an e-visa and choose multiple entry on the form. You need a passport valid for at least 6 months from your entry date, with two blank pages, a recent photo and your trip dates. Our guide on how to apply walks through each step.

Does a 90-day e-visa cost more than a 30-day one?

No. With us, the price depends only on the entry type and the speed: $47 single or $82 multiple at Standard, whether the window is a 30-day or a 90-day one. The government fee is also the same for any validity up to 90 days.

Can I switch from single to multiple entry after the e-visa is issued?

No. The entry type is part of the issued e-visa and cannot be changed afterwards. If your plans change to include a return trip, apply for a new multiple-entry e-visa before you leave Vietnam, or a new e-visa for the second entry.

Can I use a multiple-entry e-visa for a visa run?

A multiple-entry e-visa lets you leave and return within its dates, but it does not add days. The window printed on the e-visa stays the same, so leaving and coming back does not extend your stay past the last valid day.
