Vietnam Visa for Lithuanian Citizens: E-Visa Cost in Euro and Steps
Vietnam visa for lithuanian citizens: you need a visa, usually the 90-day e-visa from $47 (approx. €42). Euro prices, Vilnius cut-offs and steps.
Lithuanian citizens with an ordinary passport need a visa for Vietnam, so the Vietnam visa for Lithuanian citizens is the e-visa, valid for up to 90 days and from $47 (approx. €42) all-in through us for single entry. Lithuania is on none of Vietnam's exemption lists, even though neighboring Poland is on the 45-day list. This page covers the e-visa, prices in euros, urgent cut-offs in Vilnius time, the steps, documents, visa on arrival and the embassy. You can apply for your e-visa with us in about ten minutes.
Vilnius is four or five hours behind Vietnam, so the Vietnamese working day ends in your early afternoon. The cut-off table below shows which speed is still open when you order.

Do Lithuanian citizens need a visa for Vietnam?
Yes. Lithuanian citizens with an ordinary passport need a visa for any stay in Vietnam, and the e-visa is the usual route.
Lithuania is not on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs exemption list (published June 30, 2025, checked October 2026), and it is not among the 12 countries added to the 45-day list by Resolution 229/NQ-CP, in force from August 15, 2025.
Poland, which borders Lithuania, is among the 12 countries on that 45-day list, so the two passports are treated differently. For the general rules, see Do I need a visa for Vietnam?

Vietnam visa for Lithuanian citizens: urgent cut-offs in Vilnius time
Standard takes 5 to 7 working days. The urgent speeds use Vietnamese working days, which start at 8:00 in Vietnam: 4:00 in Vilnius during summer time and 3:00 in winter. Europe follows summer time from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October.
| Order cut-off | Vilnius, winter | Vilnius, summer time |
|---|---|---|
| Same day (Vietnam 14:15) | 9:15 | 10:15 |

| 1 working day (Vietnam 18:00) | 13:00 | 14:00 |
Example in summer time: you order on Tuesday at 5:00 in Vilnius, which is 9:00 on Tuesday in Vietnam. Emergency arrives by 6:30, Super Urgent by 7:30 and Same day by 14:00, all in Vilnius time. Ordered on Tuesday at 12:00 instead (16:00 in Vietnam), Emergency still arrives by 13:30, but Super Urgent and Same day have passed their cut-offs: Super Urgent arrives on Wednesday at 7:00 and Same day on Wednesday at 10:00.

Visa on arrival for Lithuanian citizens
Lithuanian citizens can use visa on arrival only when flying into Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang or Cam Ranh. You need an approval letter before you board and pay a $25 or $50 stamping fee at the airport.
It does not work for cruise ports or land borders. For most trips the e-visa is simpler; you can compare both when you choose a service.
Vietnam embassy in Lithuania
You do not need an embassy for an e-visa, which is issued online. For consular help, check the list of Vietnamese missions on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website (mofa.gov.vn) for the one that covers Lithuania.
Tips for Lithuanian travelers
Two points catch Lithuanian travelers: borrowing the Polish rule, and the passport that decides at the border.
Do not use the Polish rule
Polish passports allow 45 days in Vietnam without a visa, and many Lithuanians have family or colleagues across the border. A Lithuanian passport has no such right, so a stay of any length needs the e-visa.
Dual citizens and residents of Lithuania
The passport you show at the border decides what you need. If you travel on a Polish passport, the 45-day exemption applies to that passport. If you travel on your Lithuanian one, apply for the e-visa and enter the passport number you will use, because the e-visa is issued for one passport.
eVisaVietnam.com is a private visa service operated by TK VIET NAM., JSC, not the Vietnamese government. You can apply yourself at evisa.gov.vn for US$25. If you want your files checked and a delivery time backed by a full refund, apply for your e-visa with us.
