Urgent Visa on Arrival Letter: Fastest Option and Cut-Off Times
Urgent visa on arrival letter: the fastest option is 1 working day, cut-off 18:00 Vietnam time. See delivery times and when an urgent e-visa is faster.
The fastest urgent visa on arrival letter you can order from us is the 1 working day option: order before 18:00 Vietnam time (GMT+7) and the letter arrives at 18:30 on the next working day. The order form does not offer a same-day letter. Below are the cut-off and delivery times for every option, and when an urgent e-visa is faster. If you fly within a day or two, you can apply for your e-visa at a faster speed.
eVisaVietnam.com is a private visa service operated by TK VIET NAM., JSC, not the Vietnamese government. You can apply yourself at evisa.gov.vn for US$25.
Rush letter at a glance:
| Fastest option | 1 working day |
| Cut-off | 18:00 Vietnam time |
| Delivery | 18:30 on the next working day |
| Working days | Monday to Friday, except Vietnamese public holidays |
| Still due at the airport | Stamping fee, $25 single or $50 multiple |
How fast can you get an urgent visa on arrival letter?
The fastest option on the visa on arrival order form is 1 working day. The other options are 2 working days, 3 working days and the standard 4 to 5 working days. Processing runs Monday to Friday, so a weekend order is counted from the next working day.
The letter is only the first half. It is not the visa: you still stop at the visa counter and pay the stamping fee at the airport. Our guide to how visa on arrival works covers both steps, and the e-visa follows Law 23/2023/QH15 (checked October 2026).
Urgent Vietnam visa on arrival: cut-off and delivery times
All times are Vietnam time (GMT+7), and "working day" means Monday to Friday, excluding Vietnamese public holidays. Convert the cut-off to your own time zone before you order.
| Option | Ordered before 18:00 | Ordered from 18:00 |
|---|---|---|
| 1 working day | 18:30 on the next working day | 18:30 on the second working day |
| 2 working days | 18:30 on the second working day | 18:30 on the third working day |
| 3 working days | 18:30 on the third working day | 18:30 on the fourth working day |
| Standard, 4 to 5 working days | 18:30 on the fifth working day | 18:30 on the fifth working day |
For example, an order placed on Monday at 10:00 with the 1 working day option arrives on Tuesday at 18:30. The same order placed on Monday at 19:00 arrives on Wednesday at 18:30. An order placed on Friday at 10:00 arrives on Monday at 18:30, since the weekend does not count.
The order form shows the estimated delivery time for your order before you pay, so check that line against your flight. Allow time on the day you arrive in Vietnam: the letter has to be in your hands before you board.
Rush VOA or an urgent e-visa
If 1 working day is too slow, an urgent e-visa is the faster route. Our e-visa can arrive in hours on a working day, and it needs no visa counter at the airport. See the urgent e-visa options for the cut-offs and prices.
| Your situation | Better choice |
|---|---|
| Flight in 2 or more working days, flying into one of our four airports | Visa on arrival letter, 1 working day |
| Flight tomorrow or sooner | Urgent e-visa |
| Land or sea arrival | E-visa; visa on arrival does not work there |
| Group of up to 20 flying together, time to spare | Visa on arrival letter |
The e-visa is limited to up to 5 travelers per order, while a letter covers up to 20 people, which is the reason groups choose visa on arrival. The e-visa or visa on arrival comparison lists the other differences.
Before you pay for a rush letter
A search for a VOA in 4 hours turns up sites that advertise a letter within hours. We do not promise that on this page, because the order form we run works in working days and shows the estimate at checkout. Check the delivery line on any site before you pay.
A faster letter costs more. The service fee runs from $28 to $69, and the 1 working day option is at the top of that range. The stamping fee at the airport is separate. Compare that with an urgent e-visa, which is one payment, before you decide.
Two checks save the most time:
- Compare the name, passport number and arrival date on the letter with your passport as soon as it arrives.
- Print the letter. Do not rely on your phone battery at the counter.
When you are ready, use our visa on arrival service.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there same-day visa on arrival?
No. The fastest option on our form is 1 working day. If you need the visa the same day, an urgent e-visa is the faster route.
What time is the cut-off for the 1 working day option?
18:00 Vietnam time (GMT+7). Before it, the letter arrives at 18:30 on the next working day. From 18:00, it arrives at 18:30 on the second working day.
Do weekends and holidays count as working days?
No. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Vietnamese public holidays. An order placed on a weekend is counted from the next working day.
Do I still pay at the airport after an urgent letter?
Yes. The stamping fee, $25 for single entry or $50 for multiple entry, is paid at the airport whatever speed you chose.
