How to apply for Vietnam visa from Anguilla
Decide first whether you need to apply. As our guide for Anguillian citizens explains, a British Citizen passport may stay up to 45 days without a visa, but a BOTC passport is on none of Vietnam's exemption lists, so it needs an e-visa for any trip.
If that is your case, you apply in five steps with us:
- Fill in the form: Enter your passport details, trip dates, entry gate and the speed you want. The price and the delivery time update as you choose.
- Pay by card: Pay in US dollars. The price at checkout is the price we charge.
- Upload your files: Add the passport data page and the portrait photo. You can upload any time after paying.
- We check and submit: A person looks at the photo and scan, and contacts you if a file has a problem, before submitting on evisa.gov.vn.
- Receive the PDF: The approved e-visa arrives by email. Check your name and passport number against your passport, and print one copy.
You can also apply yourself on evisa.gov.vn; our guide on how to apply covers that route screen by screen. To follow an order with us, use the e-visa status tool.
What to prepare in Anguilla
A Vietnam e-visa application from Anguilla needs four things ready:
- An Anguillian passport: Valid for at least 6 months from your entry date, with two blank pages.
- A data page image: The page with your photo, all four corners in view, and the two code lines at the bottom sharp, without glare.
- A portrait photo: Recent, facing the camera, white background, no glasses. The photo requirements guide shows examples that pass and fail.
- A card and an emergency contact: A card enabled for online payments to a foreign merchant, and the name, address and phone of a contact at home.
Copy your name from the two code lines at the bottom of the data page, in capital letters, including middle names.
When to apply from Anguilla
Apply at least two weeks before you fly if you choose Standard, because 5 to 7 working days can stretch over weekends and Vietnamese public holidays. The Valley is 11 hours behind Vietnam. The Valley keeps the same time all year, so the gap does not change.
| Your time in The Valley | Vietnam time |
|---|---|
| 8:00 | 19:00 |
| 12:00 | 23:00 |
| 18:00 | 5:00 the next day |
| 22:00 | 9:00 the next day |
For Same day delivery, order between 21:00 and 3:15 in The Valley, when the date in Vietnam is a working day. Order in the evening, not the morning. Our guide for Anguillian citizens has the full table of cut-offs, and the urgent e-visa page covers every speed.
Paying for your e-visa from Anguilla
You pay in US dollars by credit or debit card. A Standard single-entry e-visa costs $47, about EC$127, government fee included.
Figures use 1 USD = 2.70 XCD (fixed peg) (ExchangeRate-API, October 19, 2026). Your card is charged in US dollars; your bank converts the amount into Eastern Caribbean dollars at its own rate, so your statement can differ from the figure here. See the full price table for every speed.
On evisa.gov.vn the government fee alone is US$25 (approx. EC$68).
Mistakes Anguillian applicants make
Most problems come from a few mistakes:
- Assuming every British passport is exempt: Only a British Citizen passport gets 45 days visa-free. Check the nationality line on your data page; "British Overseas Territories Citizen" means you need an e-visa.
- Not planning a longer stay: A stay beyond 45 days must be arranged before you fly. If you are already in Vietnam, see our visa extension page.
- A look-alike website: The government site is evisa.gov.vn. Private services, including ours, say that they are private.
- A gate you will not use: Choose the airport or border gate you will really enter through, and check the ports of entry list.
If you already filed a faulty application, read about e-visa problems first. Ready? Apply for your e-visa and a person checks your files before they go in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to apply for a Vietnam visa from Anguilla?
It depends on your passport. A British Citizen passport enters visa-free for 45 days or less. A BOTC passport, or any stay longer than 45 days, needs an e-visa, valid for up to 90 days, applied for online before you fly.
How early should I apply from Anguilla?
At least two weeks before you fly at Standard speed. If your flight is closer, choose a faster speed and check the cut-offs in The Valley time on our guide for Anguillian citizens.
Which card works for the e-visa fee?
A debit or credit card enabled for online payments to a foreign merchant. The charge is in US dollars, so check that your Anguillian card issuer allows payments to foreign merchants.
Can I get a Vietnam visa today in The Valley?
Yes, on a Vietnamese working day. Order Same day before 3:15 The Valley time for delivery by 7:00, or Emergency before 6:30 for delivery 1.5 working hours later. On weekends, use the Weekend and public holidays speed.
Do I need the Vietnam embassy for the e-visa?
No. The e-visa is applied for online, and a British Citizen passport needs no visa for 45 days or less. Vietnam has no mission in Anguilla; our page on the Vietnam embassy in the United Kingdom covers the embassy in London.
