How to apply Vietnam evisa

Whether you get a Vietnam e-visa refund depends on who you paid. The government fee paid on evisa.gov.vn is not refunded if the application is refused, while an order placed with eVisaVietnam.com is refunded 100% if the e-visa is refused (unless the form had false information) or arrives after the delivery time shown at checkout. This page is part of our guide to e-visa problems and fixes and covers the two kinds of payment, common situations, how to ask, how long it takes and what to do when money is late.

Our refund policy holds the full terms; this guide applies them to common cases. If you have not ordered yet, you can choose a service first.

Who refunds what:

What you paid Paid to Refunded if the e-visa is refused?
Government fee on evisa.gov.vn ($25 single, $50 multiple) Vietnam Immigration Department No
Our all-in e-visa price (from $47) eVisaVietnam.com Yes, 100%, unless false information
Our fee to handle an application you filed eVisaVietnam.com Our fee only, if we cannot deliver the service

Is a Vietnam e-visa refund possible after a refusal?

A Vietnam e-visa refund from the government is not possible when an application you filed yourself is refused. The e-visa site states, as of October 2026, that "the fee will not be refunded if the application is refused" (evisa.gov.vn notice).

Through us the risk shifts: our all-in price includes the government fee, and if an e-visa we filed is refused, we refund everything you paid us, unless the refusal comes from incorrect or false information.

Common refund situations and what happens

A Vietnam visa refund depends on what went wrong and where you paid, as the table shows.

Situation Filed yourself on evisa.gov.vn Ordered through us
Charged twice Check status, then ask your bank Message us with both charges
Payment page error Check status before paying again Send proof of payment
E-visa refused Fee not refunded 100% refund, unless false information
E-visa delivered late No published refund rule 100% refund
Wrong details on the form Fee not refunded No refund

Charged twice on evisa.gov.vn

If you were charged twice for a Vietnam e-visa, first check your Vietnam visa status. A failed attempt can show as a pending charge that later drops off. If both payments completed, contact your bank with the two transaction records; we cannot reverse a payment made to evisa.gov.vn.

A payment error or failed page

A payment error does not always mean the money is gone. On evisa.gov.vn, check the status before paying again. With us, if the bank shows a charge but no confirmation email arrived, send proof of payment.

E-visa refused

A refusal of an e-visa we filed means a 100% refund if the application had correct information. There is no government refund if your Vietnam visa is rejected after you applied yourself. Our page on what to do after a refusal covers causes and applying again.

E-visa delivered late

An e-visa that reaches you after the delivery time shown at checkout is refunded in full; that time counts, not the speed name.

Wrong information on the form

A wrong name, date of birth, passport number or nationality, or an unreadable passport scan, rules out a refund. A mistake found after issue goes through correcting a Vietnam visa instead.

How to ask us for a refund

You ask for a refund by email at [email protected] or on WhatsApp at +84 879 932 635, 8:00 to 21:00 (GMT+7). Send three things so we can check the order in one pass:

  1. Booking number: The number in your confirmation email.
  2. Order email: The email address you used on the order.
  3. Reason: The refusal notice, or the delivery time shown at checkout next to the time the e-visa arrived.

We reply to tell you whether the refund applies. Please contact us before you open a dispute with your card issuer.

How long does a visa refund take?

We process an approved refund within 5 to 7 working days, back to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may need extra time to show the credit on your statement, and we cannot promise a date for that part.

If your refund has not arrived

If 7 working days have passed since we confirmed the refund, message us again with the booking number and the date of our confirmation. Ask your bank to look for a credit of that amount, since some banks list refunds under a different merchant name.

Two questions often follow a refund request: whether an order can be canceled before it is filed, and how refunds work when part of the cost goes to the authorities.

Before you pay or dispute a charge

Two checks before money moves settle most refund problems: whether the order was already filed, and which part of the fee reached us.

Can you cancel an order?

You can cancel an order only before we submit it to the Vietnam Immigration Department; after that it cannot be canceled.

Refunds when part of the fee goes to the authorities

Some services refund only our part, because the rest never reaches us. For an application you filed yourself, our Expedite service refunds 100% of what you paid us if we cannot deliver it; the government fee stays with the government. For visa on arrival, we refund the service fee if we cannot deliver the approval letter.

eVisaVietnam.com is a private visa service operated by TK VIET NAM., JSC, not the Vietnamese government. You can apply yourself at evisa.gov.vn for US$25, or apply for your e-visa through us with the government fee included and a 100% refund if it is refused or late.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the government fee refunded if my e-visa is refused?

No, not when you apply yourself on evisa.gov.vn, which states that the fee is not refunded after a refusal. When we file the application, our all-in price includes the government fee, so a refusal means we refund the whole amount you paid us, unless the form had false information.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Only before we submit your application. Message us as soon as your plans change and we check whether the order is still unsubmitted. Once submitted to the Vietnam Immigration Department, the application cannot be canceled, and a change of mind no longer qualifies for a refund.

Does paying for a faster speed guarantee approval?

No. A faster speed changes how soon the application is handled, but the Vietnam Immigration Department decides every application. What we guarantee is the money: if the e-visa is refused, or arrives after the delivery time shown at checkout, you get back 100% of what you paid us.

Should I open a dispute with my card issuer?

Contact us first with your booking number. A card dispute freezes the payment while the bank reviews it, which adds time to a refund we would process in 5 to 7 working days. If we decline, we explain why, and you can still dispute.
